The Ultimate Travelling Camp offers a sophisticated canvas-top safari experience in the heart of Bandhavgarh.The camp is situated close to the village of Tala. With just a handful of traditionally designed mud dwellings, this village marks the lowest lying area of the park. There are about 20 families who inhabit the village, which is widely known for its bamboo craftsmanship and weaving.
Tala, Magadhi and Khitauli are the core zones and Dhamokar, Johila and Panpatha are the buffer zones. The Panpatha buffer zone in particular, is perfect for bicycling with one of our expert naturalists. It’s a beautiful tract of wilderness, full of flora and fauna. Enjoy a thrilling game drive into the jungle, nature walks with our naturalists in the buffer zones, spectacular birding trails, and learn all about some of India’s key wildlife conservation initiatives like Project Tiger. Ardent wildlife enthusiasts can opt to go on a night safari game drive in Panpatha, or if you want to soak up the natural beauty of the environs we suggest a special dinner in a machaan, a traditional jungle lookout, with views of the tree canopy and the forest floor.
Arrive in Jabalpur or Khajuraho. Transfer as per your own arrangements to Bandhavgarh, and check in at the UnTamed Bandhavgarh Camp, the best mobile luxury tented camping experience in Bandhavgarh National Park.

Our camp is located in the heart of Bandhavgarh, amid lush vegetation and wild grass. We are located close to the entrance for Tala zone of Bandhavgarh National Park.
This evening, kickback and relax, as you unwind amid the peaceful environs of the camp.
Optional: Sip on a drink by the camp fire, and enjoy a delicious meal, prepared by our chef.

Overnight at The UnTamed Bandhavgarh
Set off on an early morning game drive into Bandhavgarh National Park, accompanied by a naturalist. Keep your camera and binoculars ready as you set off on the trail of the tiger. Early mornings are one of the best times for tiger sightings, as the felines are often spotted heading home after a night out on the hunt. You will observe several species of animals and birds. Bandhavgarh is full of deer, Sambhar, peacocks, monkeys, wild boar and several other animals.
Return to the camp for a sumptuous breakfast, after which you can freshen up and relax after your morning adventure. Enjoy a delectable lunch at the camp, after which you can either opt to rest and relax at the camp itself, or you can choose to explore the Panpatha buffer zone by bicycle.
Optional: This evening, enjoy a sundowner around the campfire with your fellow guests as you swap stories of the day’s sightings.
Enjoy a delicious dinner, and the rest of the evening is at your leisure.

After breakfast today, relax at the campsite. If you like, grab a pair of binoculars and do a little birdwatching, or take a stroll down one of our eco trails. After lunch, head into the jungle on an exciting afternoon game drive into the forest with your naturalist. Listen to the chatter of the parakeets as they settle down for the evening. Enjoy the tranquil feeling as deer graze in the undergrowth. Pause by a waterhole to watch the animals come to the banks for a drink, or wallow in the shallows to cool off. Keep an eye out for big cats as dusk starts to fall, as this is when they start to prowl in search of prey.
Optional: Return to your camp for an evening around the bonfire and a sundowner with your fellow guests, followed by a delectable dinner.

Keep an eye out for pugmarks and your ears peeled for the tiger’s vocalisations. Pause by a waterhole to wait for the animals as they come to the banks for a drink. If you’re lucky you might spot a herd of elephants playing in the water.
Return to The UnTamed Bandhavgarh Camp for a sumptuous breakfast, after which you can freshen up and relax after your morning adventure. Enjoy a delicious lunch and soak in the serenity of the camp, surrounded by nature.
