Shakti 360° Leti can be visited either as an extension to the Shakti Kumaon village walks or as a standalone itinerary. If it is visited on its own, it can be accessed by private charter or an overnight train. We recommend breaking the journey at one of our village houses for better logistics. Due to the remote location of Shakti 360° Leti, there is a 3 night minimum stay – although the average stay is in fact 4 or 5 nights. Arrive at Delhi Airport. Meet with our company representative, warm welcome with fresh flower garlands & then transfer to hotel. Overnight stay.
Post breakfast transfer to airport to take flight for Pantnagar.
On arrival, your Shakti guide will collect you from the station and you will be driven to the Almora region (3½ hours away). En route you will stop for lunch. Take a short walk into the village of Jwalabanj and enjoy a leisurely evening.
This morning you will walk for 10 minutes to the road head where you will be driven for 5 hours to Shakti 360° Leti. There will then be a walk of 5 minutes to the property.
This morning if the weather is clear, you can wake up early to view the sun rising with Kanchenjunga in the background. Today you will walk uphill through the Red Panda wildlife sanctuary till your trail reaches a stream, follow the path ahead for 2 hours and you will reach your village house at Radhu Khandu. The house at Radhu Khandu is a charming traditional Sikkimese house with three en suite bedrooms. The location is sublime and there is nothing better than having tea in the sit out room which has amazing views of the area.
Your days at Shakti 360° Leti can include hikes, more gentle walks, time spent at the small charming school close by or spend time in the kitchen with the chefs. Lunches will either be as picnics on longer hikes, or return for lunch under the shamiana, with mesmerizing views down the Ramganga Valley. Enjoy peaceful time reading, or playing backgammon or simply snoozing – your day is yours to spend as you wish. Spend the evenings by the fire before a home cooked supper by candle-light.
This morning after a leisurely breakfast, you will be driven 5 hours to Kana. Enroute, you will have the option to visit the main town of Almora. Visit the Panchachuli Women’s Factory – founded in the late 1990’s. For those of you who wish to walk more, there is a beautiful hike near Kana.
This morning after a leisurely breakfast you will be driven to Pantnagar airport to take flight for your journey back to Delhi.
Upon arrival in Delhi transfer to hotel, overnight stay.
Time to say good bye. After breakfast transfer to the airport to connect your flight back home.
