Itinerary

Day 1Arrival NewDelhi

Arrive at New Delhi’s ‘IGI International Airport’ at 1100 hours. Meet with our company representative, warm welcome with fresh flower garlands & then transfer to hotel.

In the afternoon, start the Delhi tour by visiting memorial of Mahatma Gandhi ‘Raj Ghat’ & then visit Jama Masjid (one of India’s biggest mosque). A rickshaw-ride through the narrowest lanes of Chandni Chowk (Old Delhi) will entice you, surprise you & might intimidate you, but for sure, these chaotic streets will give you an experience of a lifetime.

Cruise on your rickshaw through many small lanes, such as silver market, book market, wedding market etc. Your rickshaw will come at a halt in ‘Khari Baoli’ – spice market, and then have a walk around in the area. Return to your vehicle by rickshaw-ride & then drive past the majestic Red Fort- where Indian PM unfurls the flag every 15th August (Independence Day) & addresses the nation.

Return to hotel at the end of the tour, Enjoy your overnight stay.

Day 2 New Delhi

Post Breakfast. Proceed for Delhi’s tour.

Visit Qutub Minar; The Qutab Minar, soaring Afghan-style victory tower and minaret, erected by sultan Qutb-ud-din in 1193 to proclaim his supremacy over the vanquished Hindu rulers of Qila Rai Pithora. Also visit a Kashmiri Co-operative, enjoy a Kashmiri Tea ‘Kahwa’ here when you witness the artisians presenting their local arts & products

Next visit to a Sikh Temple ‘Bangla Sahib’ & then drive past major govt buildings such as Presidents Palace, Parliament House, India Gate circle.

Later proceed to visit Humayun’s Tomb, Humayun’s tomb is sublimely well proportioned, seeming to float above its symmetrical gardens. It’s thought to have inspired the Taj Mahal, which it predates by 60 years. Lotus Temple for a short exterior photography stop;

Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3Delhi – Udaipur – Jawai

Post breakfast and checkout, transfer to airport to take flight for Udaipur.

Upon arrival in Udaipur, drive to Jawai (150kms/3-4hours).

Upon arrival, check-in at hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4Jawai – Udaipur

Post breakfast you are free to enjoy several activities like Wilderness drive, Bird watching, Stepherd’s stroll, temple tour and rural visit. One can spot leopards while their wildness drive, Jawai is also famous as leopard camps.

Later drive to Udaipur, check-in at your pre booked hotel. The day is to be spent resting and relaxing at your hotel room.

Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5Udaipur

Breakfast at hotel and proceed for sightseeing of Udaipur city.

Udaipur city tour comprises of visit to Sahelion-ki-Bari, which is good example of the art of landscaping, a beautiful garden was built for the 48 maidens meant to be a part of the dowry of the princess. Arrive at City Palace, Standing on the edge of the Lake Pichola and built by Maharaja Udai Singh, the gorgeous City Palace is a marvel in marble. Majestically set on a hill, it is accentuated with balconies, towers and cupolas along with superb views of the lake and the city that can be admired from the upper terraces.

Later, a short walk to the Jagdish Temple, lets you immerse in local life & get great pictures. Late afternoon/early evening, you will have boat ride in Lake Pichola, ride takes you to visit Jag Mandir – the first island palace on Lake Pichola.

Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 6Udaipur – Jaipur

Post breakfast, checkout from the hotel and drive to Jaipur (390Kms-7-8hrs).

Upon arrival at Jaipur, accommodate at the pre booked hotel. Overnight.

Day 7Jaipur

Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for sightseeing of Jaipur

We start with Amber Fort. Elephant ride uphill & Jeep ride downhill at the fort. Nostalgic Amber Fort, near Jaipur in Rajasthan, is one of the most well-known and most-visited forts in India. During downhill, visit a very heritage structure – Panna-Meena ka kund, which is a square-shaped stepwell, with adjoining stairs on all four sides and a room on the northern wall.

We will make our way back to the city, en-route we will stop at Jal Mahal, Possibly the most serene sight amidst the chaos of Jaipur is the beautiful Jal Mahal Jaipur, the Water Palace. Short stops at the Jewel & Carpet Workshops in Jaipur are must to witness how the local artisans create marvels from raw materials.

Later in the second half of the day, visit Jantar Mantar, a large grassy enclosure containing eighteen huge stone astronomical measuring devices constructed between 1728 and 1734. City Palace, originally built by Jai Singh in the 1720s and having lost none of its original pomp and splendour. Before you start exploring the local markets, stop for photography at the one world’s most famous façade Hawa Mahal.

Post your exploration in the local market. Return to hotel & overnight.

Day 8Jaipur – Ranthambore

Post breakfast, checkout from the hotel drive to Ranthambore (180kms/3-4hours).

Ranthambore National Park -considered as one of the biggest national parks in northern India in 1980, will offer you to witness, close with many wildlife’s like peacocks, bears, gazelles, sloths, wild boars and no doubt Bengal tigers. See the beautiful vivid variety of birds and animal flocking/relaxing in their region.

Upon arrival in Ranthambore check-in at hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the city.

Day 9Ranthambore- Agra

Early morning, proceed for the Jungle safari at Ranthambore National Park with naturalists in open jeep.

Return to hotel, daily routine & breakfast. Later checkout and drive towards Fatehpur Sikri (240Kms/5-6hrs), best example of the culmination of Hindu and Muslim architecture. And said to be a copy of the mosque in Mecca and has designs, derived from the Persian & Hindu architecture. Highly popular amongst them is Buland Darwaza, which is titled as the largest gateway in the world.

Continue your drive towards Agra (50kms,1-1.5 hours). Upon arrival, proceed to visit Agra Fort; Agra has one of the finest Mughal forts in India. Visit a Marble Workshop; local artisans showcase their skill of Marble Inlay work in these workshops. The artisans in Agra are believed to be the descendants of the artists who were actual workers of Taj Mahal.

Later transfer to your pre booked hotel. Overnight.

Day 10Agra – Delhi – Jabalpur – Bandhavgarh

Early morning wake-up call and sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal. (timings would vary as per season). Sunrise is by far the best time to visit the Taj Mahal. Not just because the early morning light turns the dome of the temple a soft, golden colour, but because this is the time when there are the least amount of tourists. Described by Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore as “a teardrop on the face of eternity”, the Taj Mahal is undoubtedly the zenith of Mughal architecture.

Return to hotel, daily routine & breakfast. Later checkout, drive to Delhi airport (200kms,4 hours) to take flight for Jabalpur.

On arrival at Jabalpur airport meet with our tour representative, transfer to Bandhavgarh (160 kms /4 hrs). On arrival check into your pre booked Resort for overnight stay.

Day 11Bandhavgarh

Morning and afternoon game drives.

Bandhavgarh national park is mainly known for its tiger population. This is the place where famous White Tigers of Rewa were discovered. The other wild attractions in the park include Nilgai, Chausingha, Chital, Chinkara, Wild Boar, a Fox and a Jackal. There are at least 22 mammal species and about 250 bird species in the Park. The grasslands in the park consist of chinkara (Indian gazelle), nilgai (blue bull) and chausingha (four-horned antelope) and wild boar. The dense forests contain sambhar (Indian stag), the muntjac (barking deer) and the herds of chital (spotted deer).

Day 12Bandhavgarh – Kanha

Post breakfast depart for Kanha, (250kms, 6 hours) drive, carry packed Lunch, evening relax.

Kanha’s sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands and meandering streams stretch over 940 sq km in dramatic natural splendour which form the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve created in 1974 under Project Tiger. The park is the only habitat of the rare hardground Barasingha (Cervus Duvaceli Branderi). This is original Kipling country of which he wrote so vividly in his Jungle Book. The same abundance of wild life species exists today in Kanha National Park, as it must have when Kipling roamed these parts.

Upon arrival check-in, overnight at your pre booked resort.

Day 13Kanha

Breakfast at hotel. Morning and afternoon Jeep safari to the National park.

Day 14Kanha – Jabalpur – Mumbai

Post breakfast, checkout from hotel and drive to Jabalpur airport to take flight for Mumbai.

Upon arrival in Mumbai, transfer to hotel. Overnight.

Day 15Mumbai

Post breakfast, proceed on a city tour. Includes visit of Dhobi Ghat- a unique feature of Mumbai, the dhobi is a traditional laundryman, who will collect your dirty linen, wash it, and return it neatly pressed to your doorstep. All for a pittance. The “laundries” are called “Ghats”: row upon row of concrete wash pens, each fitted with its own flogging stone

Mani Bhavan,it is a simple old-style, two storied building. Whenever Gandhiji was in Mumbai between 1917 to 1934, he stayed here. It is now converted into a museum and research centre. Admire the collection of Indian paintings and sculptures at the Prince of Wales Museum, visit Jehangir Art Gallery. Later, drive past monuments built during the British era such as Gateway of India, Mumbai University, Rajabai Clock Tower, High Court and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (VT).

Also visit Crawford Market, in the evening, cruise past Marine Drive in your vehicle and reach Colaba.

Optionally explore Colaba on your foot. Overnight at hotel.

Day 16Mumbai Departure

This day brings the end of wonderful tour, post breakfast proceeds to airport for the flight to onwards destination
