Kochi-Muziris Biennale December 2022 – April 23

December 2022, the Biennale will celebrate its fifth edition with an objective to “introduce contemporary international visual art theory and practice to India” and also provide a scope for a dialogue among artists, curators and the visitors and tourists. Starting from the 12th of December 2022, the four-month-long festival will celebrate its closing ceremony on 10th of April 2023.
For 2022-2023 Kochi-Muziris Biennale, preparations are already underway. Curated by Singaporean artist Shubigi Rao, this event for 2022 which will continue till 10th April 2023 is titled as “In Our Veins Flow Ink and Fire”. More than 80 artists and collectives are attending this event for 2022-23 with over 45 new commissions. The Kochi-Muziris Biennale will be held across several venues in Fort Kochi and Ernakulam, Kerala, India. The year 2022 is the 10th year of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale event and the fifth edition.
