History
The Royal Orient is one of the world's
most exotic trains. It is a rare delight,
an experience that will take you back in time
to the age of the Maharajas. The train takes
you through the two culturally fascinating
states of Gujarat and Rajasthan.
A joint venture of the Tourism Corporation
of Gujarat and the Indian Railways, the Royal
Orient promises you seven memorable days and
nights. Your experience on the Royal Orient
will be unique and unforgettable; in a luxurious
setting with personalized service from liveried
attendants. There are thirteen coaches and
saloons, inspired from the mighty kingdoms.
The train is fitted with all the modern conveniences
you would expect in a first class hotel. Air-conditioned
ambience keeps the temperature down to 15
degrees. Every cabin is clean, comfortable
and furnished tastefully. The cabins have
spacious baths attached to them, equipped
with running hot and cold water. There are
multi-cuisine restaurants to tickle your taste
buds, as well as a bar- The Watering Hole
with all your favourite drinks. There's even
a library on the Royal Orient if you are looking
for a quiet laid back time.
Coaches and Saloons
The Royal Orient is not just an express commuter
train. It is a way of life—gracious,
cosmopolitan and imperial—designed to
transport you back in time … to a millennium
of pompous monarchy, prosperous empires and
legends of courage, chivalry, patriotism and
supreme devotion. This train have 13 coaches
and Saloons discribed glorious past of Indian
heritage.
Liveried attendants pamper you round the clock
with 5-star hotel luxuries. The “Watering
Hole” bar has all your favorites and
fine monarchial brews. Comfort is refined
at 150C. In spacious baths, while bathing
in running hot or cold water, rejuvenate your
body and dream endlessly. The pantry-car offers
a repast of royal delicacies that will not
leave your taste buds for years to come.
Travel Route
Starts from capital city of Delhi, the train
moves towards colorful state of Rajasthan
and then reaches in Gujarat. It return back
in Delhi after seven memorable days/nights
in the touristic heaven of India.

inhale battle-scents of heroism, give way
to royal fantasies, discover a lost paradise,
remember the epics, dine with ferocious lions,
ride the desert and rule the sea…. And,

Delhi Cantonment Railway Station.
Evening Tea/Dinner Onboard.
Day 02 : Chittaurgarh - Udaipur
0530 hrs : Arrive Chittaurgarh Railway
Station at 0530 hrs.
0630 hrs : Visit Chittaugarh
Fort.
Departure for Udaipur and breakfast Onboard
at 0900 hrs.
1215 hrs : Arrival at Udaipur
and transfer to the hotel for Lunch.
After lunch sightseeing of Udaipur.
Departure for Mehsana and dinner on board
at 1750 hrs.
Day 03 : Mehsana
0645 hrs : Arrive Mehsana
at 0645 hrs. Visit Sun Temple at Modhera,
Ran-ki-vav & Patola.
1115 hrs : Departure for
Ahmedabad at at 1115 hrs.
1245 hrs : Arrival at Ahmedabad
and transfer to Hotel for Lunch.
After lunch start sightseeing of Ahmedabad,
Adalaj Step-Well, Gandhi Ashram, Calico Museum
of Textiles, Sidi Sayyad Mosque. Also enjoy
shopping.
2015 hrs : Departure for
Sasangir. Enjoy Dinner on board.
Day 04 : Sasangir
0800 hrs : Arrive Sasangir.
Breakfast will be served on board.
After breakfast visit famous Sasangir Lion
Sanctuary.
Optional sightseeing of Somnath Temple.
1115 hrs : Departure for
Delwada.
1430 hrs : Arrival at Delwada
and visit Ahmedpur Mandvi Beach.
Excursion to Diu Fort and St. Paul's Church.
Departure for Palitana and Dinner will be
served on board at 2000 hrs.
Day 05 : Palitana
Morning breakfast will be served onboard.
0745 hrs : Arrive Palitana and visit world
famous 863 Jain Temples at top of Shartunjaya
Hills.
Departure for Sarkhej.
1300 hrs : Lunch will be
served on board.
Arrival at Sarkhej. Visit Vishalla village.
Dinner will be at Hotel.
2230 hrs : Departure for
Udaipur.
Day 06 : Ranakpur
Breakfast will be served on board.
0715 hrs : Arrive Udaipur
and leave to visit famous Ranakpur Jain Temple.
Lunch at Hotel. Post Lunch return to Udaipur.
Departure for Jaipur. Dinner will be served
on board at 2000 hrs.
Day 07 : Jaipur
Breakfast on board. Arrive Jaipur and visit
Amer Fort via Hawa Mahal. Enjoy Elephant Ride
at Amber Fort.
Enjoy Lunch at hotel
After lunch visit city palace and Jantar Mantar.
2155 hrs : Departure for Delhi. Dinner on
board.
Day 08 : Delhi
0700 hrs : Arrival at Delhi
Cantonment Railway station. TOUR
