Day 1 : Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi international airport
Our company representative will meet / assist
you and transfer to hotel for overnight stay
Day 2: Delhi : After breakfast,
leave for a day's sightseeing tour of Delhi.
In historic Old Delhi you will see the Jama
Masjid, one of the largest mosques of India;
the Red Fort, an impressive sandstone monument
built by the Mughals, and you can explore
the busy market of Chandi Chowk. You can also
visit Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi.
In New Delhi you can see India Gate, Parliament
House and the President's mansion. Humayun's
Tomb, Qutub Minar and the Bahai Temple and
shopping in crafts emporia in Delhi complete
your Delhi tour. Return to your hotel to stay
overnight.
Day 3 : Delhi - Leh : Transfer
to the airport to board the flight to Leh.
You will be received on arrival and transferred
to your hotel. Rest and acclimatize yourself
to the altitude and rarified air of Ladakh.
Day 4 : Leh Sightseeing
Morning sightseeing of the Leh Palace,
Shanti Stupa and Shankar Gompa. Afternoon
drive to Stok across the river Indus to see
the Stok Palace. Evening free to explore the
bazaars. Overnight Leh
Day 4 - 6 : Visiting monastries in
Leh
The following 2 days will be busy touring
the monasteries and palaces of the Indus valley.
Day 7 : Drive to Lamayuru
After this you will travel by jeep
to Lamayuru gompa, a site that abounds in
myth and legend. Overnight stay will be done
in the village.
Day 8 : Trek to Prinkiti La
Today you being doing what you have
come here for, trekking! Cross the Prinkiti
La (~3700 meters) to the village of Wanlah,
where there is a beautiful ancient gompa,
keeping this day short.
Day 9 : Hinju
The next day you continue through
awesome gorge country to pastures beyond the
village of Hinju.
Day 10 : Sumda Village
Following this, cross the 4900 meter
Konzke La for a spectacular view before descending
to the pastures just above the village of
Sumda Chenmo.
Day 11 : Pass through Sumda
Chenmo, which actually has two gompas: One
is active, while the other lies in ruins below
the village. Tonight you Camp in the valley
near the river.
Day 12 : Sumda Choon
After breakfast day free, with an
optional side trip to Sumda Choon, whose ancient
and rarely visited gompa houses remarkable
artistic treasures.
Day 13 :
After breakfast free / relaxation,
then day you continue your journey upwards
to the beautiful meadow of Lanak. In the evenings,
you can often spot Bharal, the rare and elusive
blue sheep, on the nearby cliffs.
Day 14 : Dundunchen La
Today's climb to Dundunchen La (4800
metres) is strenuous, a stunning view encompassing
the Stok and Zanskar ranges. Finish our trek
with a long descent into Chiling, before boarding
the rafts on the Zanskar River. Ride the river
to its confluence with the Indus at Nimu,
and then board jeeps for the trip to Alchi.
Upon reaching Alchi we do a Overnight stay
at the village.
Day 15 : In Alchi
the next day, we tour the remarkably
well-preserved 11th -century gompa and the
famed frescoes within. In the afternoon, we
return by jeep to Leh for a well-deserved
rest.
Day 16 : Archi - Leh
It's a day for you to be on your
own and do what you think was left unfulfilled
on the trip, to explore Leh.
Day 17 : Leh
Leave for Delhi with unforgettable
memories of your Ladakh Monasteries Trek with
Leh Ladakh India by the morning flight. On
reaching Delhi you do a Brief exploration
of India's
Day 18 : Leh - Delhi : After
breakfast you will transferred to the airport
to board the flight to Delhi. Leave for Delhi
with unforgettable memories of your
Day 19 : Delhi Departure
Breakfast at hotel
Full day sightseeing of Delhi including India
Gate, Kingsway, Laxmi Narayan temple, Qutab
Minar, Lotus Temple, Red Fort, Jama Masjid
(Friday Mosque) and Raj Ghat.
Evening after dinner ransfer to the international
airport for your flight to your onward destination.
