What is Yoga ?
The word Yoga means to "yoke" mind, body and soul. Through the practice of Yoga, one unites body, mind and soul. Yoga Asanas (poses) keep one's body young, dynamic, supple, strong and healthy. Yoga is the divine science which disentangles the Jiva (Human) from the phenomenal world of sense objects and links him with the Ananat Ananda (infinite bliss). Yoga originated at around 4th century BC. Yoga and its sutras were invented and developed by Sage Patanjali during that era. The common Yoga is also known as patanjali's Ashtang Yoga (An Eight part process).

What are the eight aspects of yoga ?
Yama- 5 universal disciplines of ahimsa (non-violence), satya (truth), asteya (non-stealing), brahmacharya (self control) and aparigraha (non-covetousness).
Niyama- 5 personal values of saucha (cleanliness), santosha (contentment), tapas (penance), svadhaya (self study), ishvarapranidhana (surrender to God).
Asana- yogic postures to be performed.
Pranayama- control and regulation of the life-force prana through the breath.
Pratayahara- withdrawl of the five senses to steady the mind.
Dharna- concentration.
Dhyana- meditation.
Samadhi- adsorption or the state of oneness with God.

Yoga can help you
Healing by yoga is subtle as well as gross. Those suffering from physical ailment like Asthma, Arthiritis etc can gain tremendously from the practice of Yoga. There is no ailment (except AIDS, Cancer) which cannot be cured by Yoga. Asanas like sirsasana, sarvangasana and halasana can bring confidence and heal depression and psychosis.

Yoga tours made easy
We organise Yoga Tours for our clients. Yoga classes (guest, periodic, regular) can be organised for you. These classes can be arranged for a group or even individuals. Classes will be conducted by competent tutors.

Delhi - Rishikesh - Delhi

DAY 01. One can take a train/drive to Rishikesh from Delhi.
Arrive and transfer to hotel . After a welcome drink and acclimatization briefing about the whole program, followed by introduction to the Yoga teacher. Evening dinner.& overnight hotel.

DAY 02. Rishikesh
Early morning drive or walk to the yoga centre for yoga class followed by relaxation of body & mind. After relaxation learn about breath awareness exercise & stretching exercise. After yogic breakfast Evening in-house yoga & traditional meditation class with visiting instructor . Late evening visit the Ghats for Arti, dedicated to Goddesses Ganga .Overnight hotel.

DAY 03. Rishikesh
Early morning drive or walk to the centre .Today we will do relaxation, asana, followed up by yognindra. After nutritious breakfast, day free for own activities. Optional you can take rafting trip or can do temple tour for half a day. Evening followed by modern meditation. and class of suggestion therapy. Meals and overnight hotel.

DAY 04. Rishikesh
Today we'll get training for PRANAVAM (advance breathing), Dynamic yoga. advance yoga postures. After breakfast drive up to Vashist Gufa. The entire drive is along the river Ganges towards the source for about an hour. Arrive and explore vashistha Goofa (cave), where famous saint Vasistha, meditated. A perfect place for transcendental meditation. Late afternoon drive back to resort. Evening meditation & lecture. Dinner and overnight at hotel
DAY 05. Rishikesh
Early morning wake up for Pranayam & advance techinque of Yoga. Evening followed by meditation and curative yoga. Meals and overnight . one can take optional trip to Devprayag, one of the five most important confluences of Garhwal Himalayas. Arrive and explore the area. Also visit 10th centaury old temple of Ragunath ji.

DAY 06. Rishikesh
Early morning followed up by VIPASANA class. Evening curative Yoga and meditation class. Dinner and Overnight Nature Camp Resort.

DAY 07. Rishikesh - Delhi
Early morning practice advance posture of yoga & vipasna .Day free for own activities. Evening meditation and question answer session. Evening the course terminates.
