Day 01: Delhi Arrive Delhi. Meet assist at
airport and transfer to hotel.
Day -02 - Delhi / Chandigarh After breakfast
proceed to Chandigarh by train Dep - 600 am
& arrive 10:30. Arrive Chandigarh & transfer
to hotel. Get to see the motorcycles & get
used to feel the motorcycles sight seeing
of Chandigarh by motorcycles. Chandigarh constructions
of from a plan by the French architect, Le
corbusier, began in the 1950 S. Chandigarh
Attraction of the bizarre Rock Garden - a
short of concrete maze with a lot of rocks
and very little garden. Its open from 9 am
to 1 pm and 3 to 7 pm from 1st April to 30th
September. The second garden is Rose Garden.
The rose garden in sector 16 is claimed to
be the biggest in Asia and contain more than
a thousand varieties of rose.

- 03 - Chandigarh / Mandi Drive motorcycles
Tour, drive to Manali enroute visiting Mandi:
On the left bank of the Beas River, Mandi
at first glance looks like a New England mill
Town. It is a pleasing city with temple spires
poking up everywhere (there are over 100).
Many of them are recently constructed and
are brightly painted. Panchvaktra - the sixteenth
century temple - inside the temple a monolithic
and benign Mandi faces, not the expected lingam,
but an unusual five - faced Shiva sitting
in this meditation pose. To the left of the
inner sanctum is a stone replica of the deity
that sits inside. Bhutnath - temple dedicated
to Shiva, this time Mandi stands outside the
temple facing a small lingam in the inner
sanctum. The temple is stark and has few exterior
carvings. All the sculptural emphasis is on
the double archway entrance, as if drawing
our attention to Shiva's symbol. After Mandi
the drive will be in the Kullu Valley along
the river Beas through the beautiful gardens
of apple and apricots is very interesting.
Evening arrive and night stay at Hotel.
Day
- 04 - Mandi - Manali Motorcycles through
the Manali town visiting newly constructed
Buddhist monastery, Hadimba Devi Temple -
it is small temple situated in the dense forest,
built in the typical style. The walk through
the forest is very interesting. Hadimba is
said to be the wife of Bhima from the epic
of Mahabharata. Vashisht - it is an extremely
picturesque little place clinging to the steep
hillside. On the way up to the village you
come upon the Vashisht Hot Baths where a natural
sulphur spring is piped in to a modern bath
- house. PM at leisure for the last minute
shopping for the journey in the high altitude.
If you like, walk through the old town of
Manali, which is very interesting. Night at
hotel.
Day - 05 - Manali / Keylong Drive motorcycles
& proceed towards Lahaul Valley. The drive
through many beautiful villages. From Kothi
village there are very fine views, Beas river
flows through a very narrow gorge at this
point. The first pass will be " Rohtang Pass"
appx. 4000 Mts. In altitude. It is the only
access into the Lahaul Valley and it is open
only few months in summer. Then the road goes
down along the Chandra River. At Tandi the
two rivers - Chandra and Bhaga Join. From
evening arrive Keylong and nite in Tents.
Day - 06 - Keylong Drive motorcycles & visit
to the Khardang Monastery, formerly the capital
of Lahaul, the only nunnery in the Lahaul
Valley. It is a beautiful monastery having
some important Paintings. The nuns are very
hospitable and the normally offer a cup of
tea to the visitor. Visit to the Shishi monastery
by motorcycles which in the opposite direction
of the Khardang. It is a small monastery and
the way through the fields and the small village,
is very interesting. Night in tents.
Day - 07 - Keylong / Sarchu Drive motorcycles
& proceed to Sarchu. We drive by the Bhagha
River through the villages. The last village
in Himachal Pradesh on this road will be Darcha
where the passport formalities are done. From
here we drive upwards and the natural scenery
changes. The second Pass will be Baralacha
La (Appx. 4800 mts.), picturesque area with
a beautiful lake. If the sky is clear you
have a fantastic view of the mountain ranges.
Arrive Sarchu and night in tents.
Day - 08 - Sarchu / Pang Drive by motorcycles
& proceed to Pang enroute crossing two Passes
- Nakali La (Appx. 4900 mts) and Lachalung
La (appx. 5100 mts). The scenery changes completely,
enjoy the mountain affected by erosion. If
you are lucky you may meet some ibex in this
area. Before evening arrive Pang and nite
in tents.
Day
- 09 - Pang / Leh Drive by motorcycles & proceed
to Leh. Immediately after Pang the road goes
up and after a few hundred meter higher the
drive is in the plains. This is a little marshy
land with plenty of Marmotes. If the lake
is not dried then there is an opportunity
of viewing the birds. Today we cross the highest
pass of this road - Tanglung La (appx. 5300
mts). After decending from the pass the first
village will pass through various villages
with a scenic beauty different than evening
arrive Leh and nite at hotel.
Day - 10 - Leh Visit Leh by Motorcycles &
at Places Lake to waking on the street. Drive
by motorcycles & orientation the town of Leh
and visit of the City Palace - like a miniature
version of the Potala in Lhasa in Tibet. The
Palace was built in 16th century, which is
now deserted and badly damaged. In the evening
walk up to the Shankar Gompa for its visit.
This interesting little Gompa is open only
in the mornings and evening. Upstairs is an
impressive representation of Avalokiteshvara
complete with 100 arms and 1000 heads. Nite
at hotel.
Day - 11 - Leh Drive by motorcycles to Shey,
Thikse and Hemis: Shey - this was the old
Summer Palace of the kings of Ladakh, built
about 600 years ago. It is now in ruined state
but the Palace Gompa has a 12-meter - high-seated
Bhudda image. Thikse - the monastery is very
picturesque and superbly sited on a hilltop
overlooking the village and the Indus. The
Gompa has an important collection of Tibetan
stylebooks in this Library and some excellent
art works. Hemis Gompa - is one one of the
largest and most important Gompas of Ladakh.
It is famous for its Hemis Festival. It is
one of the largest and the most spectacular
of the Gompa Festivals. The Gompa has an excellent
library, well preserved wall paintings. Nite
at hotel.
Day - 12 - Leh / Likir / Saspol Drive by motorcycles
& proceed to Saspol enroute visiting Likir
Monastery. Noon arrive Saspol. By motorcycles
visit Alchi monastery - this Gompa is unusual
as it built in the lowland and not perched
on a hilltop. It is for its massive Buddha
statues, Lavish woodcarvings and artwork.
There night at organized tents.
Day - 13 - Saspol / Lamayuru / Leh Motorcycles
full day excursion to Lamayuru monastery -
it is the first of the typical monasteries
in Ladakh perched on a hilltop with its five
buildings and as many as 400 monks. Today
there is only one building and there are appx.
30 monks. Evening return to Leh. Nite at hotel.
Day - 14 - Leh Drive by motorcycles & excursion
Spituk and Phiyang: Spituk - it is near the
airport and the temple (Gonkhang) is about
1000 years old. There are fine views over
the Indus from the Gompa. Phiyang - there
are appx. 50 monks in the Gompa. PM free for
the last stroll in Leh.
Day - 15 - Leh / Pang Drive back by motorcycles
to Pang. On arrive Pang & overnight stay at
Hotel.
Day - 16 - Pang / Sarchu Drive back by motorcycles
to Sarchu. On arrive Sarchu & overnight stay
at hotel.
Day - 17 - Sarchu / Keylong Drive back by
motorcycles to Keylong. On arrive Keylong
& overnight stay at hotel.
Day - 18 - Keylong / Manali Drive back by
motorcycles to Manali. On arrive Manali and
overnight stay at hotel.
Day - 19 - Manali / Mandi Drive back by motorcycles
to Mandi. On arrive Mandi and overnight stay
at hotel.
Day - 20 - Mandi / Chandigarh Drive back by
motorcycles to Chandigarh. On arrive and overnight
stay hotel.
Day - 21 - Chandigarh / Delhi Transfer to
Chandigarh railway station train for Delhi,
Dep.17:00 PM & arrive 22:00 AM On arrive Delhi
& transfer to hotel.
Day - 22 - Delhi Sight seeing of old Delhi:
Red Fort - the red sandstone walls of the
fort extends for 2 Kms and very in height
from 18 meters on the rivers side to 33 meters
on the city side. The Hall of the Public Audiences,
The Hall of private Audiences, The Royal Baths,
The Moti Masjid built by Aurangzed for himself
are important portions of the immense fort.
Jama Masjid - the great mosque is both the
largest mosque in India and the final architectural
extravagance of Shah Jehan. Raj Ghat - the
memorial of Mahatma Gandhi where he was cremated
after his assaination. New Delhi -Laxmi Narian
Temple - garishly colored modern temple. India
Gate - the 42-meter high stone. Arch of Triumph
erected memory of the Indian soldiers who
died in the first Worlds War. Humayun's Tomb
- built by the wife of Humayun, the second
Moghul king. It is an early example of Moghul
architecture. Qutab Minar - the buildings
in the complex dates back to the onset of
Muslim rule in India and are fine examples
of Afghan architecture. Night stay at hotel.
Day - 23 - Delhi Transfer to airport flight
to next destination.
